Sunday the 17th of November sees eight young musicians from the Three Counties compete for a first prize of £500. It takes place in Toddington Village Hall beginning at 2.30pm. Again, this year we have a wonderfully diverse range of performance from a variety of instruments including the human voice.

If you love music and would like to support these young people then come along for a fascinating afternoon of music and a gripping concert.

Naomi, saxophone and Pavel produced a concert to be remembered for many a day. Naomi demonstrated in a diverse repertoire the tremendous range  and adaptability of the saxophone. Meanwhile Pavel, who accompanied Naomi with great empathy, also provided us with exceptional solo pieces on the piano.

As always, our President Adrian Boynton, treated us to a wonderful concert to end the year.  The New English Singers were joined by Emily Mowbray (violin) and Andrew Gray (oboe) to give us a varied concert with a Christmas theme.  A lovely way to end our programme year and put us in the mood for Christmas.

Our final concert of 2013 was from the Luton Cantores Choir who provided us with a wonderful concert of Christmas music.  They were be joined by the Occasional Players who provided readings on a Christmas theme.  The concert made a lovely end to our concert year and started off the Christmas season for us all.

Katharine Seaton (soprano) and Katherine Cooper (mezzo-soprano), accompanied by Tim Pryce gave us superb concert of music ranging from Bellini to Britten, Offenbach to Mahler.  A very enjoyable concert once again by very talented young artists.
